FamilyProtect changelog: what's new this month

Here’s what shipped this month at FamilyProtect, in plain English.

What shipped this month?

A handful of changes aimed at making the product easier to try, easier to get help with, and easier to read at a glance.

  • A 14-day free trial on every plan. You can now run the full product free for two weeks on every Windows PC in your home before you decide. We take a card at signup so protection never lapses, and you cancel anytime before the trial ends and pay nothing. The full breakdown is in how the free trial works.
  • An in-app support centre. Help is now built into your account: a live view of whether the service is up, self-serve answers to the common questions, and a form that reaches us directly when you need a person.
  • A tidier Settings page. Your profile, family name, password, two-step verification, and trusted devices are now sorted into clear cards, with the risky actions kept safely in their own section.
  • Clearer Blocked sites. The Blocked sites page now sorts everything into three plain levels, so the one item worth a conversation does not get buried under the everyday background noise. More on that in what FamilyProtect blocks, and why.

What’s still improving in the background?

The reliability work continues. FamilyProtect keeps checking that protection is actually running on each device and repairs it automatically if something drifts, so a device does not quietly fall out of protection. What’s coming next?

FamilyProtect remains Windows only. We would rather be genuinely tamper-resistant on one platform than partly effective on three.
