Privacy and safety

Parents need protection they can explain.

FamilyProtect is built for safety enforcement on family Windows PCs. That means it needs enough device and web-safety information to apply the protections you choose, but it should remain understandable and openly managed.

Our approach

Safety without pretending privacy does not matter

Protection, not hidden surveillance

FamilyProtect enforces the safety rules parents choose. It is not designed to secretly read private messages.

Data with a job

Protected devices may report device status, protection state, policy results, and web or DNS activity needed to enforce settings.

Parent-controlled access

The dashboard is for the parent or guardian account. Children should not have administrator access to protected PCs.

Clear account control

Billing, cancellation, and account requests are handled through your account and support channels.

What FamilyProtect may use to work

To enforce protection, FamilyProtect may need device inventory, installation state, protection status, billing/account state, and activity signals such as DNS or web destinations on protected devices. Those signals help decide whether a site, app, or setting should be allowed.

What FamilyProtect is not

It is not marketed as secret spyware. It is not a replacement for conversations with your child. It is not a tool for reading every message. The product is intended to make agreed safety boundaries harder to bypass on Windows PCs.
